Permatang Pauh MP Nurul Izzah Anwar’s resignation, which seems to be a gesture of protest, may signify that the Pakatan Harapan-controlled Parliament has caved in to Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s insistence that Ronald Kiandee, an Umno defector who has joined Bersatu, remain as the chair of the Public Accounts Committee .
Is she saying that because the PAC chairperson switches camp, he has to lose his position? Does she want Harapan to lose out?This is the bigger problem. Harapan cannot stay united.
