Abiola Ajimobi, Governor of Oyo State, has lost his polling unit to the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party .
Ajimobi voted at the Commercial Grammar of Oluyole Estate II, Polling Unit 20, Ward II in Ibadan South West of Oyo State around 1pm on Saturday. Ajimobi had raised concerns over the low turnout of voters for the elections, but expressed confidence in the conduct of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission .
He had maintained confidence that the outcome of the election would favour Adebayo Adelabu of the All Progressives Congress.The result mirrors that of the senatorial election contested by the Governor, which he lost to the PDP.
