이 대통령의 설명은 한 누리꾼이 지난 1일 만찬 회동에 대해"청래 좀 그만 괴롭히시라. 다구리 해놓고 불러다가 '우린 공감한다' 그러시면 너무 잔인한 듯'이라고 말한 것에 대한 반박 과정에서 나온 것이다. 이어"정 전 대표도 나름대로 생각과 판단이 있으신 분"이라며"그분이 저에게 끌려다닌 것도 아니고 제가 그분을 괴롭힌 것도 아니니 오해나 곡해 마시기를 바란다"고 밝혔다.
이에 대해 정 전 대표는 페이스북에서 이 대통령이 자신을 '내란의 밤을 함께 싸우며 넘어온 동지'라고 표현한 기사 제목을 거론,"김대중, 노무현, 문재인, 이재명을 지지했고, 12·3 내란의 밤을 함께 넘었던 동지들이여. 4통 통합하고 함께 갑시다"라며"뭉치자는 것이 우리의 구호여야 한다"고 말했다. 정 전 대표는 재차 페이스북에 글을 올려"발표된 대로 좋은 만남, 건설적인 대화를 많이 나눴다"며"홀대받은 것 없고 동지적 심정으로 나라 걱정, 당 걱정을 많이 했다. 뭉쳐야 산다. 단합합시다"라고 말했다.
정 전 대표는 친청계와 친명계 대결 구도로 진행됐던 8·17 전당대회 과정에서 친명 후보를 자처한 김민석 대표 및 이 대통령 지지층과 노선 문제 등을 놓고 공방을 벌였다. 한편 이 대통령은 별도로 올린 X 게시글에서 정부가 앞으로 복지급여를 직접 신청하지 않아도 받을 수 있도록 제도를 개선한 성과를 홍보하며"국민이 몰라서, 신청하지 못해서 필요한 복지를 놓치는 일이 없도록 복지의 문턱을 낮추겠다"고 말했다. 이재명 대통령이 1일 청와대에서 더불어민주당 정청래 전 대표와 만찬을 하고 있다. 2026.10.1 photo@yna.co.kr
